EM385 1-1 Army Corps of Engineers Health and Safety Requirements for Government Contractors


This course covers safety as well as the procedures and requirements as set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety Health Requirements Manual.

Course Description: This 40-hour course is designed for contractors, military and government employees who enforce or must comply with the requirements of USACE EM385-1-1.

Topics include: Navy and USACE contract procedures; OSHA and its role on the USACE project; SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) qualifications and responsibilities; APP (Accident Prevention Plans) development; AHA (Activity Hazard Analysis) development; Job site auditing; USACE safety and health requirements (EM385-1-1).

Upon successful completion, students receive a course certificate and an OSHA 30-Hour construction card.
